Behind the Scenes

Made in the UK

We are proud as punch to say that we design and make everything as locally as possible. From the very beginning we knew we wanted our products to be on a made-to-order or small run basis, this was something we new we couldn’t achieve if our factories were overseas and it definitely didn’t sit well with our bid to keep our carbon footprint low. The farthest anything has to travel is our Recycled Poly ECONYL® fabric from our Italian Mill as we couldn’t find anything recycled and as eco friendly on our doorstep. All of our stretch garments are lovingly made in Jesmond, Newcastle at a sample room run by Amy Fettis and her team who only make to order.

Designed in the UK

All silhouettes are designed in house by Mische and our Floral Flow print is a bespoke design crafted and created by the super talented Harriet Ruscoe, a graphic and print designer who specialness in beautiful floral prints. Alongside her freelance work Harriet also has her own range of children’s books, written by her twin sister and illustrated by herself. You can find more about Harriet at harrietruscoedesign.co.uk

Milled in the UK

Our Retreat Wrap is lovingly made by the family-owned and operated weaving mill in Lancashire who have been operating for 150 years. The mill is the first UK Cotton weaving mill to be awarded Soil Association and Global Organic Textile Standard accreditation. The yarns that we use are 100% Organic cotton combined with their recycled cotton, made from off cuts within the fashion industry that are then re-woven into a yarn. We order small runs of each throw which is then woven in their factory and hand finished with the beautiful blanket stitch detail.
